1951 Rolls Royce Silver Dawn
Black Exterior with Deep Red Leather Interior | Seats Up To 4 Passengers

The Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn was a full-size luxury car that was produced by Rolls-Royce at their Crewe works between 1949 and 1955. It was the first Rolls-Royce car to be offered with a factory built body which it shared, along with its chassis, with the Bentley Mark VI.

With a top speed of 94.0 mph (151.3 km/h), the cost of this beautiful car in 1951 was around $8,228 AU dollars. This was over SIX TIMES the cost of new Holden car at $1,350 AU dollars, or around 8 years worth of wages for the average Australian worker.

Of the total 760 Silver Dawns built worldwide, only around 80 right hand drive short boot models were ever made.
